I appreciated the thoughtful touches like staff helping with crossing the busy road and shuttle rides into town—it made everything feel safer and more convenient. Plus, shoutout to Mint for handling a tricky package delivery with real care.

The food had its hits and misses; the Thai dishes were flavorful, but some plates didn’t quite match the price tag. Still, those sweet pineapple bites were a delightful surprise that made the meal memorable.

Coming back to Putahracsa after years felt a bit different this time—while the location and warm welcomes stayed solid, the main beach club being closed without warning threw off the vibe. Pools got packed, and snagging a sunbed was a battle. The room’s AC was noisy too, which made sleep tricky.

We spent over two weeks at Putahracsa and honestly felt spoiled by the staff’s kindness and attention. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and having a quiet pool just outside our door was such a treat. Breakfasts at Ob-Oon were a daily highlight with tasty local treats that felt homemade, plus the spa was a peaceful escape.
