I live in central Bangkok and love finding new, cozy restaurants. I'm especially keen on places with outdoor seating by the river, rather than upscale dining.

    Next to SamSara but more expensive. Good food and view over the river.

    Cozy coffee place by the river with some food options. Closes in the late afternoon.

    Great food and music, opens quite late but it's open until late. Next to the night market.

    Good local Thai food by the river with a great view of Rama 8 bridge. Typically live music on the weekend.

    90's deoration and popular with Thai guests. Good Thai food with a nice river view but not easy accessible by car.

    Fancy a dinner by the sea (not on the beach, though)? Just a few minutes by taxi from Keha BTS station, you'll find a large Thai restaurant with a stunning seaside view. Expect good food, great views, and a lively atmosphere.

    Delicious papaya salads and other Thai dishes, with very reasonable prices. It's worth the walk from MRT or BTS.
