    Adhere The 13th Blues Bar

    Bangkok Boy: Of all the bars on the list, this is probably the smallest but also the most authentic live music bar in Bangkok for me. Despite the proximity, just a 10-minute walk from the tourist party mile Khao San Road, I like the chilled, alternative atmosphere here as well as the music. The owners are well-known in the art scene and have created a little gem here. Address: 13 SamSen Rd, Phra Nakhon.

    Brown Sugar The Jazz Boutique

    Bangkok Boy: This is probably the oldest jazz bar in Bangkok. Originally located at Lumphini Park on Sarasin Road, it is now one of the top addresses in Soi Na Na Chinatown. On a good evening, the atmosphere here is almost like at Preservation Hall in New Orleans. I particularly like the upper floor, where the big jazz bands perform. On the ground floor there are mainly acoustic sessions. The bands that play here every evening except Mondays are generally excellent!

    Green Room Bangkok

    Bangkok Boy: Small but mighty! Green Room in Bangkok's Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 also offers a stage for lesser-known artists. Although it is located in the middle of a red light district, I really like the atmosphere! The music is mainly rock and blues.

    Bangkok Boy: The bar, which reopened in 2024, is officially called a nightclub although it is IMO primarily a live music bar. Nationally known stars of the Thai music scene also perform regularly. The other bars in the Hillary group also have live music every night.
