Run In Bangkok Without Fighting Traffic

Looking for the best running tracks near BTS and MRT in Bangkok? This 2026 guide is built for runners who want quick access to parks, jogging loops, and green spaces without wasting time in taxis or Bangkok traffic. From the long, popular circuits at Lumphini Park and Benjakitti Park to shorter urban laps at Benchasiri Park, Santiphap Park, Saranrom Park, and Rommaninat Park, these are the easiest places to run in Bangkok when you want a practical workout near public transport. Some are true runner favorites with established loops, while others are smaller parks that work best for easy jogging, recovery runs, or a few fast laps before work.

From Long Loops To Short City Runs

If you want the most serious running parks near BTS or MRT, start with Lumphini, Benjakitti, and the Chatuchak park cluster, including Chatuchak Park, Queen Sirikit Park, and Wachirabenchathat Park. These parks give you more space, longer routes, and a better rhythm for consistent training. Smaller parks like Benchasiri and Santiphap are still useful if your priority is convenience, shade, and a quick run close to Sukhumvit or Victory Monument. This list focuses on Bangkok running tracks near BTS/MRT that are realistic, accessible, and worth adding to your routine, whether you are training for distance, staying active while traveling, or just looking for the best places to run in Bangkok in 2026.

  • Wachirabenchathat Park

    State Railway Public Park

    Rot Fai Park

Urban Oasis with Tranquil Lakes and Cycling Paths

Rot Fai Park is part of a trio of parks in Bangkok, and it's a favorite among locals for leisure activities. Even though my bird-watching trip here wasn't very successful, I still enjoyed walking around in the hot weather. The park is filled with interesting artworks and is a peaceful spot to escape the city's hustle and bustle. Although it can get crowded, it's a crucial green space for both locals and tourists to breathe, exercise, or simply relax.

  • Benjakitti Park

Urban Oasis with Elevated Pathways and Serene Lake Views

You'll never get tired of this park—it's an oasis in the middle of the city! Super easy to get to by MRT and a short walk. Great for relaxing with snacks, jogging, or just chilling. The park is huge and even connects to a green lane near Lumphini Park. Only downside is the lack of trash bins, so keep an eye on your rubbish. Can't wait to visit again!

  • Queen Sirikit Park

Botanical garden, Part of the Chatuchak Park

A Serene Oasis in the Heart of Bangkok

I had a great time walking around Queen Sirikit Park. Some paths are a bit uneven because of the concrete blocks, but it's still a lovely place for a leisurely walk. The newly renovated areas are fantastic, especially the bird-watching tower, though it's not for those afraid of heights. Overall, a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature.

  • Santiphap Park

    The Peace Park

Peaceful Oasis with Beautiful Flowers and Bird Watching

Santiphap Park is a small but delightful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. The greenery and flowers are well taken care of, making it a pleasant spot for a morning jog or workout. I enjoyed coming here frequently during my holiday since it was so close to my hotel. It's a nice place to relax and recharge.

  • Benchasiri Park

Convenient Urban Oasis with Modern Amenities

This is one of my favorite spots in Bangkok to chill out. It’s ideal for picnics, having some drinks, or just relaxing. The park is especially beautiful at sunset and nighttime, and occasionally, you can catch some cool fountain shows and light displays.

  • Chatuchak Park

A Green Oasis with a Vibrant Weekend Market

I had an amazing experience at Chatuchak Park. The entrance near the BTS station sells food pellets for just 10 Baht, which you can use to feed the massive catfish and carp in the pond. One time, a curious turtle even followed me around! The staff were super friendly and made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

  • Saranrom Park

Charming Oasis with Wildlife and Recreational Facilities

Saranrom Park is a charming oasis in the heart of Bangkok's historical area, offering a delightful escape from the urban hustle. The park is teeming with wildlife like monitor lizards, treeshrews, and squirrels, and features plenty of shaded walkways and benches for relaxation. However, be prepared for mosquitoes during your visit.

  • Rommani Nart Park

    Serenity and History Combined

I recently visited Rommani Nart Park, which is a unique spot that used to be an old prison. It features two remaining watch towers and a block of cells. Though most of the jail structures have been demolished, the park still offers a glimpse into its past. The park is compact with pretty fountains, a small pond, and a free public gym, although the equipment is quite old and rusty. There's also a small kiosk at the entrance selling water and snacks. Worth a visit if you're nearby and interested in historical transformations.
