You really have to know where to look for this place—walk through what looks like a mechanic’s storage, past heaps of car parts, then up a narrow, creaky staircase and suddenly you’re somewhere totally different. The second floor feels like an old Thai home with wooden floors, potted plants, and cats lazily sprawled out everywhere. The coffee is strong and full-flavored; I had their kalamansi coffee which was surprisingly bright and refreshing with a nice espresso kick. It’s definitely not fancy or air-conditioned—more like cozy and real—and the staff are quiet but focused on making good coffee. If you get claustrophobic or hate heat, this might not be your spot, but if you’re after something authentic and a bit off the beaten path, it’s worth the trek. Plus, that egg tart was honestly one of the best I’ve tried in Bangkok.
