Reviews

Not every visit was smooth sailing though; the breakfast was tasty but the morning staff could really work on their attitude. A brusque greeting and some rudeness over a payment mix-up left me feeling less than welcome. Shame, because the food itself had me hoping for a better overall experience.

Dropped by for Christmas Eve and Day, and honestly, it felt like a proper festive celebration despite being in Thailand. The staff were super friendly and attentive, the three-course dinner hit the spot, and the live music was a real treat—especially that incredible female vocalist. Plus, they were wheelchair accessible which made it all the more welcoming.

If you’re patient with your food timing, this place is a gem for hearty meals and live music almost every night. We ended up eating here more than anywhere else during our two-month stay in Hua Hin. The roast is worth waiting for, and prices won’t break the bank—just make sure to book ahead if you want a good seat, especially on Sundays.

The vibe at Father Ted’s is something else, especially when the Bangkok Beatles take the stage—some hits nailed, some missed, but the crowd of seasoned fans didn’t seem to mind. Guinness was flowing, the service was solid, and even if the decor could use a nod to the real Father Ted, it’s a top spot to hang out and soak in good times.
