Affordable Local Lunch Spot

This basement food court runs on speed, variety, and low-key practicality. The food leans local, with plenty of dishes to choose from and even desserts in the mix, while prices stay easy enough for students and office workers in the area. Seating is spacious, but the setup is simple: self-service, open-air, and sometimes warm. In other words, it gets the job done without pretending otherwise.

For students, this place makes a lot of sense. The food is affordable, and there’s enough variety to keep everyone from arguing over where to eat. Nothing fancy, just a practical spot that does the job.

I’ve eaten here for lunch plenty of times, and it’s generally decent. The prices are low for the area, and there are enough choices to keep things from getting boring, desserts included. You do have to handle your own ordering and cleanup, and the open-air setup means it’s not exactly polished—birds may also consider it their dining room.

Vichai Saetan (2026)

It’s a budget-friendly place in the middle of Siam Square, which already feels like a small miracle. There’s a good spread of dishes, and I ended up liking both of the plates I tried. The space can get a bit warm since there’s no air conditioning, but in the morning it’s still manageable.

Found Food Hubb tucked in the basement, and it turned out to be a pretty solid cheap lunch spot. It’s spacious, air-conditioned, and full of office workers grabbing food before heading back to work. The dishes lean local, and the early opening hours seem made for people who don’t have time to fuss.
