Somtum Der · Reviews

The spicy levels here definitely lean toward the fiery side, so be ready to choose your heat carefully. I went for the grilled pork, and it did not disappoint—really juicy and full of flavor. The place is on the smaller side but has two floors, which helps with space. Staff spoke good English and were friendly enough to explain some of the dishes. It got a bit noisy when packed, but not unbearable. Oh, and don’t miss their clear Tomyam pork cartilage soup—it was surprisingly mild but tasty with fresh veggies on the side. Also loved their sour plum Coke slushy to cool down between bites. Would recommend booking ahead because it fills up quickly, especially on weeknights.

Authentic Isaan food that is worth the wait and the price. The grilled wagyu beef tongue and somtum with crispy fish are must-tries!

Despite the high prices, the quality of the fresh ingredients and the flavorful dishes make this spot a must-visit for Thai food enthusiasts.

Suwan S. (2025)

Great spot for serious Isaan food cravings, but be sure to book ahead as they get busy during peak hours.

A two storey modern kitchen-cafe style serving Thai dishes. Some of the dishes are quite unique and is worth a try.
