The Local offers a mix of traditional and modern Thai cuisine within a unique setting that includes both an old colonial building and a new extension. While some guests have noted that the atmosphere could be warmer, the attentive service and intriguing dishes like the Beef Cheek Massaman curry and curry beef tongue dumplings make it a noteworthy option for Thai food lovers. The mango sticky rice is a standout dessert that shouldn't be missed.
The Rueben sandwich at Stacked and Loaded is a standout, with its quality corned beef and perfectly toasted rye bread. The Russian dressing is spot-on, and the giant dill pickle is a delightful touch that adds authenticity. The turkey sandwich, featuring juicy smoked turkey breast and roasted peppers, is equally impressive. These incredibly thick sandwiches are a rare find in Bangkok and are worth every bite.
During my visit to Rongros, the quality of the food truly stood out—each dish was a masterpiece of authentic flavors and presentation. The staff's warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable, creating a welcoming environment. Although the restaurant isn't very spacious, it comfortably accommodates guests, and the view of the river and passing boats is delightful. A little more attention to the restroom cleanliness would be appreciated, but overall, it was a fantastic visit. Looking forward to returning!
The food at MoMo Samsen is consistently amazing, as recommended by locals. Dishes like chicken satay, spring egg rolls, pad see ew, and pad Thai are flavorful and satisfying. The staff is attentive and welcoming, enhancing the overall dining experience. If you're in Bangkok, this spot is highly recommended for its authentic Thai offerings.

Bangkok has several excellent Irish pubs with authentic atmosphere and great decor. My Top 5...
Our first family visit to Sri Trat was a fantastic experience. The food was fresh, tasty, and served promptly. The lotus stem fried with shrimp was particularly delicious, and the service was excellent, with knowledgeable staff providing guidance. The great atmosphere made it an instant favorite Thai restaurant in Bangkok. Don't miss the desserts—they're awesome!
I’ve been a fan of the Ari branch, but the Thonglor location impressed me with its inviting, at-home vibe. The food never disappoints, with the fish yellow curry, egg-pork stew, kua kling, and stir-fried bai liang with eggs being my usual favorites. The spice level is moderate, catering well to Bangkok's audience. Although the dining space is small, the ambiance makes up for it. I recommend reserving a table in advance due to the limited seating. The only downside is the price, which I find a bit steep for the portion sizes.
