What to expect

Creative Riverside Retreat

This place reads like a small creative hotel with a river habit: original art in the common spaces, handmade touches in the shop, and modern rooms that lean comfortable rather than flashy. The rooftop pool and river-facing rooms keep pulling the eye outward, while the setting stays surprisingly quiet for how close it sits to busy streets, boat access, cafés, and Khaosan Road. Food is part of the rhythm too, though service can move at its own unhurried pace.

QURO Bangkok Riverside · Reviews

I really liked staying here, mostly because the location made everything easy. The boat dock is right next door, and there are cafés, shops, laundromats, and convenience stores just outside, which is hard to argue with. The rooftop pool facing the water was peaceful, and the whole place felt calm after a busy day. I would have loved a balcony with a river view, but the hotel was full, so fair enough.

Overall, this hotel was solid in all the right ways. The staff were consistently friendly and always greeted us, which made the stay feel warm. The room was very clean and had a nice view, though the food took a bit longer than I expected to arrive. Still, it was a comfortable place to stay in Bangkok.

I knew the place before it became the StandardX, and it has held up well after the change. The lobby and rooms have been updated nicely, and breakfast by the river was a highlight. If you can, go for a river-facing room at night. The area is handy too, with Khaosan Road only a short walk away and plenty of small restaurants nearby.

I had a really good stay here and would happily come back. The hotel feels creative and full of personality, with original art everywhere, and the room was modern, comfortable, and quiet. The rooftop pool was a nice bonus, and the restaurant food was excellent. I also bought some handmade lamps from the gift shop, and the staff handled a small accident in the room with real professionalism.
