Great Ambiance and Service, Mixed Reviews on Food Quality
Kay’s Sukhumvit 49 offers a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service, making it a popular spot for brunch. While some diners rave about standout dishes like the miso scone and vanilla french toast, others found certain menu items, such as the prosciutto Benedict and pancakes, to be lacking in flavor. The cafe is often busy, so reservations are recommended, especially for larger groups. Despite mixed reviews on food quality, the overall experience is enhanced by the minimalist ambiance and helpful staff.

Reviews Kay’s Sukhumvit 49
As tourists, we were glad the staff, who spoke fluent English, managed to get us a table without a prior booking. The food and coffee were great, though a bit on the pricey side. The minimalist ambiance was lovely and made the experience worthwhile.
Honestly, I expected more from Kay’s. The pancakes were bland, and the corn truffle toast didn't impress either. The place itself is nice with a good vibe, but the food needs improvement to match the ambiance.
Kay’s is a fantastic neighborhood spot for breakfast or brunch. Almost everything on the menu looks tempting, and the vanilla french toast is a must-try. We didn't have a reservation but got seated quickly. Only gripe? Blunt knives—please sharpen them!
I visited Kay’s Sukhumvit 49 for brunch and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The prosciutto Benedict was a letdown with just one slice of prosciutto, but the miso scone was a winner. Parking is available, but it gets busy during lunchtime.
One of the best spots in Bangkok for brunch and lunch. Honest prices and excellent food.
Really pretty cafe / brunch spot hidden in sukhumvit 49 road.

Khua Kling Pak Sod 55 Restaurants we like
Khua Kling Pak Sod is a must-visit for authentic Southern Thai cuisine in Bangkok. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and true to local tastes. Standouts include the coconut prawn soup, Michelin star prawn with stink beans, and crab fried rice. Don’t miss the mango sticky rice and Thai tea ice cream for dessert. The cozy atmosphere in an old house adds to the charm, making it feel like a home-cooked meal experience. Service is excellent, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. However, parking is limited, so be prepared to walk a bit.
