If you’re up for something truly local and unpretentious, this spot is a gem. The mataba here is seriously good—flaky and flavorful—but be warned, it’s pretty oily so maybe don’t go right before a big meeting. I tried the chicken mataba and the hoi-tod, which was crispy and reminded me of home. The place looks a bit worn out but everything felt clean enough. Upstairs has AC if you want to escape the Bangkok heat while you eat. Worth it for a quick, tasty bite without the fancy frills.
