Slow Butter

Only two croissants per person, which makes sense because you’ll want to savor each bite. The tebirkes were fantastic fresh out of the oven, and gifting one to a friend earned me serious brownie points. Definitely a spot to keep coming back to for quality baked goods.

Hands down the best bakery I’ve visited outside of France. I came back twice during my short stay just to get more of their croissants and pain au chocolat. Even the simple bread with butter and cheese hit all the right notes—totally recommend if you’re nearby.

I popped in early to beat the crowd and ended up waiting about 15 minutes in a long line outside. They only let a few people in at a time, which felt a bit strict but understandable given how busy it was. The staff are all over the place handling different steps, which was oddly comforting—like watching a well-oiled pastry machine in action.

The croissants here are seriously something else—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of saltiness. I’m usually not into plain ones, but this place changed my mind completely. Plus, grabbing a fresh one right at opening is totally worth waking up early for.
