Unique Highball Experience with Great Service but Mixed Food Reviews

Had a great time at The Japanese Highball Bar 1923. The service was excellent, and the drinks were even better. Didn't get to try the food this time, but the highballs alone are worth coming back for. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming.

If you're in the mood for a traditional Sunday roast, The Old English Bangkok won't disappoint. The beef Sunday roast is well-prepared and satisfying, although the Yorkshire pudding might be a bit on the crunchy side for some. The comfortable atmosphere and drink specials, like the happy hour Leo draft, make it a great place to relax. The Apple pie is a delightful end to a meal, and overall, it's a spot that's worth the visit for both the food and friendly service.

Finally gave The Potato Geezer a try and wow, that shepherd’s pie spud hit the spot way better than I expected—big portion, really tasty, and arrived nice and hot. Totally ordering again before trying their jerk one next!

Loved how strong the drinks were—definitely not messing around—and the vibe hit that perfect mix of chill and electric, thanks to some killer DJs. Plus, having multiple stalls in the restroom was a surprisingly big win!

Intimate Art and Cocktail Spot

The place is pretty small but it has a cool vibe going on, especially with the art gallery upstairs. The cocktails hit the spot, strong and well-made, and we tried a few of the tapas which were tasty enough. It can get a bit stuffy inside so probably better for shorter visits or cooler days. I went on a quiet weekday so the atmosphere was a bit mellow—guess it’d be livelier when it’s busy. Staff were friendly enough and music was chill. Definitely worth popping in if you’re around Sukhumvit 51, just make sure to book ahead on weekends because it fills up fast.
