    Suan Luang Rama IX

Largest Park in Bangkok with Stunning Sunset Views

Suan Luang Rama IX Park is an incredible spot if you're into running or cycling. There are tons of routes to explore, and the best part is that it’s free to enter after 5 PM. If you're visiting between 9 AM and 5 PM, there's a small fee of 10 THB. The park is filled with beautiful flowers, plants, and cute mini gardens, and it's now connected to the Nong Bon reservoir, making the running routes even more fun and extensive. It's a fantastic place to spend your evening or even half a day, but it can get really hot during the day, so I’d recommend going later in the afternoon. There are water stalls for purchase, but note that the toilets aren't free.

Bangkok, a bustling metropolis, is surprisingly home to numerous tranquil parks that offer an escape from its hectic pace. One such gem is Suan Luang Rama IX Park, a vast expanse filled with beautiful trees, alleys, gardens, bridges, and a serene lake, perfect for walking, exercising, or simply relaxing. Another popular spot is Lumphini Park, a 142-acre retreat featuring jogging paths, playgrounds, and an artificial lake. Visitors love its central location and the chance to spot wildlife coexisting with people.

    Phutthamonthon

Serene Buddhist Park with Iconic Buddha Statue

Phutthamonthon offers a friendly camping ground and a chance to enjoy nature. The park is massive and mostly unlit after sunset, but the bonsai-stone area is a cool spot to check out at night. It's a quiet, modern place with turtles and fish, ideal for a relaxing day out.

    Wachirabenchathat Park

    Rot Fai Park

Urban Oasis with Tranquil Lakes and Cycling Paths

Rot Fai Park is part of a trio of parks in Bangkok, and it's a favorite among locals for leisure activities. Even though my bird-watching trip here wasn't very successful, I still enjoyed walking around in the hot weather. The park is filled with interesting artworks and is a peaceful spot to escape the city's hustle and bustle. Although it can get crowded, it's a crucial green space for both locals and tourists to breathe, exercise, or simply relax.

    Queen Sirikit Park

A Serene Oasis in the Heart of Bangkok

I had a great time walking around Queen Sirikit Park. Some paths are a bit uneven because of the concrete blocks, but it's still a lovely place for a leisurely walk. The newly renovated areas are fantastic, especially the bird-watching tower, though it's not for those afraid of heights. Overall, a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature.
