Discover the Green Oasis of Bangkok

Bangkok, a bustling metropolis, is surprisingly home to numerous tranquil parks that offer an escape from its hectic pace. One such gem is Suan Luang Rama IX Park, a vast expanse filled with beautiful trees, alleys, gardens, bridges, and a serene lake, perfect for walking, exercising, or simply relaxing. Another popular spot is Lumphini Park, a 142-acre retreat featuring jogging paths, playgrounds, and an artificial lake. Visitors love its central location and the chance to spot wildlife coexisting with people.

If you're looking for a romantic evening stroll, Benchakitti Forest Park is the place to be. The elevated sidewalk lit up at sunset creates a magical atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a date. For those wanting to explore more natural beauty, Bang Krachao, known as the "green lung" of Bangkok, offers lush greenery and tranquil surroundings just a short boat ride away. Lastly, for cycling enthusiasts, the Happy and Healthy Bike Lane provides 24km of great views, soft curves, and top biking equipment for rent, all while you marvel at airplanes taking off and landing.

    Chao Phraya Sky Park

Crossing the river via the Chao Phraya Sky Park offers a unique perspective with its lush plants and panoramic views, even though traffic hums below. The entrance through King Prajadhipok Park adds a quiet charm to the experience, especially if you time your visit near sunset for truly memorable sights.

    Suan Luang Rama IX

Largest Park in Bangkok with Stunning Sunset Views

Suan Luang Rama IX Park is an incredible spot if you're into running or cycling. There are tons of routes to explore, and the best part is that it’s free to enter after 5 PM. If you're visiting between 9 AM and 5 PM, there's a small fee of 10 THB. The park is filled with beautiful flowers, plants, and cute mini gardens, and it's now connected to the Nong Bon reservoir, making the running routes even more fun and extensive. It's a fantastic place to spend your evening or even half a day, but it can get really hot during the day, so I’d recommend going later in the afternoon. There are water stalls for purchase, but note that the toilets aren't free.

    Benjakitti Park

Urban Oasis with Elevated Pathways and Serene Lake Views

I love running in this park in the morning. Not too crowded, with a mix of running tracks around the forest park and lake area, plus elevated skywalks above the marshes. Nice wildlife and birds. My only gripe is the no-skating rule. The bike path could easily be used for rollerskating or inline skating too.
