Riverside Thai with Scenic Views
This riverside spot crafts Thai dishes with thoughtful presentation and occasional fusion twists, often balancing bold flavors with subtle heat. The standout moments come from seafood sauces made traditionally and unique noodle preparations. While the food can range from impressive to uneven, the calm, warm-toned atmosphere and sweeping views of Wat Arun lit against the river dominate the experience, making the setting as much a part of the meal as the cuisine.

I ended up trying the sour soup with crispy mangosteen here and honestly it was full of flavor without being too spicy, which I appreciated. The green squash in it wasn’t really my thing though. Also had the grilled sun-dried squid — nicely presented and the seafood sauce felt authentically Thai, none of that blended green stuff some places do. The highlight for me was definitely sitting inside with those high ceilings, gazing out at Wat Arun lit up across the river as boats drifted by. Pretty relaxing spot if you want good food and a chill view, though I’m not sure I’d call it worth a splurge on price alone. Still, a nice place to unwind for an evening.

Horsamut is a fantastic riverside spot with an amazing view, particularly of Wat Arun. The atmosphere is elegant but not overly fancy, making it a great place to relax with a bottle of wine. The service is attentive, and the staff keeps the snacks coming. The wine selection is good, though a bit pricey, but not overly so.

Horsamut offers one of the best views of Wat Arun, especially from its outdoor rooftop bar. Advanced bookings are recommended as it gets busy during dinner times. They accept various payment methods including cash, QR codes, and credit cards. The food is delicious, and they also offer local and Thai craft beers. Limited parking is available, but you can also take the MRT to Sanamchai Station, exit 5.

The food and drinks menu at Horsamut is impressive, especially the Thai dishes which are spot-on. Booking in advance is recommended, with 5pm and 7pm slots available. The 5pm slot offers a less crowded experience and a stunning sunset view. There are various seating options including outdoor, indoor, and a rooftop bar, although parking is limited.
