Ba hao 八號 is a charming spot nestled in the peaceful streets of Chinatown, perfect for dining and unwinding. The restaurant offers a lively indoor atmosphere with loud music and creative cocktails, while the outdoor seating provides a relaxing experience with high-quality Chinese and Japanese dishes. The menu, though not extensive, is thoughtful with dishes perfect for sharing. Highlights include the eggplant and pork belly with pumpkin bao. It's a popular place, so reservations are recommended.

Craft Brews and Cozy Vibes in Bangkok's Samphanthawong
I had a great time at this small beer bar with a well-stocked fridge and a few tasty beers on tap. The bartender was friendly and helpful, making it a perfect spot to chill with a small group of friends. Definitely worth a visit for beer lovers.
I loved my stay here, though be prepared for no elevator and shared bathrooms. The location at the start of Soi Nana is fantastic, close to Chinatown. The bar downstairs serves excellent drinks and delicious food from the neighboring restaurant. A charming hotel with a lot of character.
This jazz/live music bar is a gem in Bangkok's vibrant music scene, particularly for those who appreciate live performances without an entry fee. The drinks might be on the pricier side, but the exceptional music and great service make it worthwhile. Brown Sugar offers a cozy setting with terrific design and artwork, and patrons can enjoy an up-close experience with talented musicians. Although I didn't try the food, the extensive drinks list and unique atmosphere make it a must-visit for jazz enthusiasts.
My 5 favorite live music bars in Bangkok: This is probably the oldest jazz bar in Bangkok. Originally located at Lumphini Park on Sarasin Road, it is now one of the top addresses in Soi Na Na Chinatown. On a good evening, the atmosphere here is almost like at Preservation Hall in New Orleans.
I particularly like the upper floor, where the big jazz bands perform. On the ground floor there are mainly acoustic sessions. The bands that play here every evening except Mondays are generally excellent!

5 Best New Cocktail Bars in Bangkok 2024: Soi Na Na Chinatown: I was a little hesitant to include this bar in my top 5 new bars because I almost tripped over the bar in the dark bar room. But overall I think the bar is worth checking out, especially because of the unusual design of a cathedral.
The cocktails at TAX are truly remarkable, with unique flavors that stem from their homemade vinegar infusions. The tamarind and black sticky rice cocktails are standout options that shouldn't be missed. The bartenders are knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise, enhancing the overall experience with their friendly and attentive service. It's a perfect spot for a chilled evening out.
El Chiringuito in Soi Nana impresses with its cozy and chill vibe. Despite having no initial expectations, the simple yet amazing bread, cold cuts, and cheese leave a lasting impression. While the pizza may take a while, it's worth the wait. Though the drink list is average, the overall experience is enjoyable and satisfying.
Chinatown Yacht Club has a fantastic ambiance with stylish decor and friendly staff. The cocktail menu is impressive, featuring both classic and innovative drinks. Win and Lily add to the fun with their lively personalities and exceptional cocktail-making skills.
