Craft Brews and Cozy Vibes in Bangkok's Samphanthawong
I stumbled upon this gem of a craft beer bar late one Friday night and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent selection of local and international craft beers. The Muay Thai Sawassdee Hazy IPA and Nana Lager were absolute standouts. The vibe was perfect, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their offerings.
Lovely cafe / restaurant decorated with antiques on the edge of Chinatown. We ate there twice, the food was great and reasonably priced. The staff were charming and incredibly polite. Would certainly go back again.

My 5 favorite live music bars in Bangkok: This is probably the oldest jazz bar in Bangkok. Originally located at Lumphini Park on Sarasin Road, it is now one of the top addresses in Soi Na Na Chinatown. On a good evening, the atmosphere here is almost like at Preservation Hall in New Orleans.
I particularly like the upper floor, where the big jazz bands perform. On the ground floor there are mainly acoustic sessions. The bands that play here every evening except Mondays are generally excellent!
This newly opened bar, Thurty, is already making waves with its mature and competitive vibe. Perfect for special occasions, it offers a wonderful mix of creativity and quality in its cocktail selection. The ambience is relaxed yet sophisticated, making it a must-visit spot. The cocktail experience at G.O.D Bar is unparalleled, combining artistry, class, and a bit of risk in their drink offerings. The 'bite and sip' concept elevates the experience, providing tiny flavor explosions that perfectly complement each cocktail. The lively yet intimate atmosphere, with great hip-hop music and clever acoustics, makes it an ideal spot for a night out with friends or a date. Every detail, from the decor to the glassware, reflects the thought and care put into creating this world-class cocktail bar.
5 Best New Cocktail Bars in Bangkok 2024: Soi Na Na Chinatown: I was a little hesitant to include this bar in my top 5 new bars because I almost tripped over the bar in the dark bar room. But overall I think the bar is worth checking out, especially because of the unusual design of a cathedral.
The cocktails at TAX are truly remarkable, with unique flavors that stem from their homemade vinegar infusions. The tamarind and black sticky rice cocktails are standout options that shouldn't be missed. The bartenders are knowledgeable and eager to share their expertise, enhancing the overall experience with their friendly and attentive service. It's a perfect spot for a chilled evening out.
El Chiringuito in Soi Nana impresses with its cozy and chill vibe. Despite having no initial expectations, the simple yet amazing bread, cold cuts, and cheese leave a lasting impression. Visited the Chinatown Yacht Club recently and had a delightful experience on their cosy rooftop. Despite a bit of rain, the atmosphere was peaceful and felt like a hidden retreat above the city. The bartender was welcoming, and the drinks were excellent. My friend loved the cocktails, and I enjoyed a refreshing mocktail alongside a simple yet satisfying hot dog. It's a charming spot with friendly service, perfect for a laid-back evening.
