I absolutely loved the Tasty Tom Yum soup with noodles! The sourness was just right, not too spicy, and the prawns were fresh. I recommend getting two portions of noodles for a more satisfying meal, and don't forget to pair it with a Thai milk tea for the perfect combination.
I was recommended this restaurant by a friend, and I am so glad I tried it. The queues were long for pickup, but dining in was manageable and the service was surprisingly quick. The kwecap and crispy pork belly were absolutely amazing. The taste was incredible, and the price was very fair. I felt like I was getting a taste of something truly special at a reasonable price. I will be back for more of that delicious food.
Khao Gaeng Jek Pui (Je Chie) is a hidden gem in Samphanthawong, offering authentic Thai street curries that locals and tourists alike rave about. The simplicity of the setup, with just a couple dozen red plastic stools in an alleyway, enhances the experience, focusing entirely on the food. The curries are diverse, flavorful, and prepared from scratch, making it a must-visit spot for anyone in the Chinatown area.
Arunwan offers a taste of traditional Thai delicacies, such as Pork Blood Soup, in a modern, air-conditioned setting. The offal dishes are well-prepared, maintaining their authentic flavors despite the contemporary decor. The overall dining experience is satisfying, blending the comfort of a modern environment with the rich taste of traditional dishes.

Do I have to eat on the street?
No! Not all the Bangkok street food comes from a humble cart on the side of the road. Some do, some are a collection of stalls in a local market or a traditional shophouse that has tables. If you're worried about cleanliness, stick with busy places as the ingredients will be fresh. You will miss an essential part of Thai culture if you don't try! Speaking of Thai culture: Don't miss our Famous Food Court List!
How do we collect those places?
We check blogs and other websites with top lists and gather them together. Some of them we test by ourselves and some are hints from visitors. We check several platforms for the ratings - you will find them at the end of the location address. Absolute gem find. Found this market food court by accident as I was exploring the area by foot. Cheap and many varieties of street food in a food court.
I was initially skeptical about the crispy noodles, but they turned out to be fantastic, especially at such a reasonable price point of 50 - 100 baht. The fried noodles with chicken and runny egg deserve a perfect rating. While the crispy chicken skin and fried wontons were decent, they're not essential. Overall, the flavor of the dishes is impressive, making it a highly recommended dining experience in Bangkok.
I live in central Bangkok and love finding new, cozy restaurants. I'm especially keen on places with outdoor seating by the river, rather than upscale dining.
I absolutely loved the softness of the meat at this restaurant. The pork literally melts in your mouth. The sauce was a bit spicy for me, but it complemented the pork well. The only downside was sitting outside next to the pathway with fumes from passing motorbikes.
This shophouse eatery has a rustic charm and serves a unique jok with a mildly smoky flavor, featuring loose pork meatballs that are both hearty and chewy. Despite being packed with locals in the morning, the service is efficient, with English menus available for easy ordering. The prices are reasonable, making it a worthwhile stop for those seeking a taste of traditional Thai rice porridge.
