The Ordination Hall’s gold-leaf roof and detailed stucco floral patterns create a captivating glimpse into traditional Thai temple design. Inside, the murals vividly illustrate scenes from Lord Buddha’s life, making it a peaceful spot rich in history.

Founded in 1864 by the Dhammayuttika Nikai, Wat Kan Matuyaram is named in honor of Kan's mother. The Ordination Hall is a stunning example of traditional architecture, with gold-leaf-covered roofs and intricate stucco work. Inside, the walls display murals depicting the life of Lord Buddha, while the principal Buddha image is cast in gold and housed in an ornately decorated wooden butsabok.

The temple can be quite crowded, and visitors may notice the smell of food waste nearby. While entry to some areas, like the museum, requires a ticket, the temple itself offers a culturally enriching experience for those interested in its history and architecture.
