This guide highlights curated golf courses worth knowing, whether you’re planning a golf holiday, a weekend round with friends, or looking for a villa project near the fairway.

  • Pineapple Valley Golf Club Hua Hin

If you're after a challenging round with stunning hillside views, Pineapple Valley delivers. The course demands precision with its tricky lies and fast greens, but having an experienced caddy makes all the difference. I showed up a bit rough around the edges and still managed a decent game, so it's definitely worth a visit.

  • Black Mountain Golf Club

After trying a bunch of courses around Hua Hin, Black Mountain feels like the one that really gets it right. The facilities are top-notch, the staff genuinely friendly and professional, and my caddy Nuk was both fun and skilled—made the day fly by. Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you want more than just golf.

  • Palm Hills Golf Club & Residence

I noticed the pin placements can be frustratingly close to the front edge of the greens, making chips tricky if you fall short. Still, the caddies were spot on, and despite some sandy patches on the greens, the course looked great overall.

  • Springfield Royal Country Club

The course isn’t the longest or the fanciest in Hua Hin, but it’s got a clever design that keeps things interesting. Greens could use a bit more grass coverage, but the friendly caddies made hanging out on the course enjoyable. It’s a good option if you want a fun round without breaking the bank.

  • Majestic Creek Country Club

Majestic Creek offers a chill day on the course with wide fairways that give you plenty of room to swing. The course isn’t packed, which makes for a relaxed pace, and the water hazards pop up just enough to keep things interesting without being a headache.

  • Sea Pines Golf Driving Range

We showed up early to avoid the heat and crowds, and the caddies really made a difference with their solid English and helpful tips on how to approach the course. The greens were dry but still playable, making for a nice morning round before things got busy.

  • Lake View Resort and Golf Club

    Relaxed Golf with Mixed Service

The golf itself is lovely, but I have to say, the caddies could use some pep. They seem more interested in chatting amongst themselves than helping out, which is a bit of a letdown compared to other courses nearby.

  • Royal Hua Hin Golf Course

Playing early or late here saves you a ton of cash, and the course itself, while a bit tight, is kept in pretty solid shape. The greens roll nicely and you might even get some company from curious monkeys and friendly dogs. The caddies know their stuff and add a bit of fun to the round—definitely a hidden gem worth checking out.
