The Green Room really surprised me. It’s down this sketchy little alley off Soi 7/1, so you gotta keep your wits about you walking in. But once inside, the music made it totally worth it. Caught a band called Plaztyx on a Sunday night and they were amazing—really took me back to college days hanging out with friends. The sound system is killer and the vibe feels pretty chill but lively at the same time. The food and drinks came quick too, which helped keep the good times rolling. Will definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town for some live tunes.

My favorite live music bars in Bangkok: Small but mighty! Green Room in Bangkok's Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 also offers a stage for lesser-known artists. Although it is located in the middle of a red light district, I really like the atmosphere! The music is mainly rock and blues.

My favorite live music bars in Bangkok: Of all the bars on the list, this is probably the smallest but also the most authentic live music bar in Bangkok for me. Despite the proximity, just a 10-minute walk from the tourist party mile Khao San Road, I like the chilled, alternative atmosphere here as well as the music. The owners are well-known in the art scene and have created a little gem here. Address: 13 SamSen Rd, Phra Nakhon.

5 Best New Cocktail Bars in Bangkok 2024: I like the very spacious open design of a Garden of Eden with a view of Phloen Chit Road and the Skytrain. There is pretty much everything from reasonably cheap international beers like Stella Artois to mid-priced craft beers and good wines and prosecco to, of course, expensive champagnes that you can enjoy at the very large champagne bar.

My friend had the smoked tea drink and liked it too. The place wasn’t busy when we went on a late Friday night, so it felt peaceful rather than buzzing. Staff were attentive enough to keep our water glasses topped up. It’s not flashy but definitely a cool spot if you want something low-key with inventive drinks.
