I stumbled upon The Upper Deck Sports Bar while it was still under renovation, and I can't wait for it to open with its promising outdoor deck overlooking Sukumvit Road, making it a fantastic spot for expats like me to watch sports and unwind.

My 5 favorite live music bars in Bangkok: Of all the bars on the list, this is probably the smallest but also the most authentic live music bar in Bangkok for me. Despite the proximity, just a 10-minute walk from the tourist party mile Khao San Road, I like the chilled, alternative atmosphere here as well as the music. The owners are well-known in the art scene and have created a little gem here. Address: 13 SamSen Rd, Phra Nakhon.
The Sunday beef roast at Scruffy Murphy's is a hearty serving, perfect for sharing. While the beef was served at room temperature, the mashed potatoes were hot and the overall taste was good. It's a substantial meal, though perhaps not extraordinary, but satisfying nonetheless.
My Top 5 Irish Pubs in Bangkok: It's an authentic ☘️ Irish pub with live music several days a week that broadcasts major sporting events on HD screens. There is indoor and outdoor seating and a pool table upstairs. It is the successor to the popular Victoria Pub. Scruffy's serves Western and Thai dishes. I like their Larb Moo Tod. I personally like the small outdoor patio.

24 BLVD offers a chic and trendy atmosphere that's ideal for a relaxed day out or an energetic evening. The blend of industrial and contemporary design elements gives it a modern edge, while the soft lighting creates a cozy yet lively ambiance. The open space, combined with good music and a lively crowd, makes it perfect for people-watching or casual meet-ups. Despite the slightly higher prices, the overall experience justifies it, thanks to attentive service and a pleasant vibe.
This jazz bar in the TaladNoi area is one of my favorites. It consistently delivers good vibes and fun nights. The cocktails are well-crafted, adding to the overall experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, you're in for a treat with great music and a lively atmosphere.
The drinks at Raze Arcade are simply amazing, and the service matches that level of excellence. The staff are lovely and helpful, offering us great deals. We even got to use the F1 Simulator car for free when we bought two Halloween drinks. Highly recommend for the nice vibe.

5 Best New Cocktail Bars in Bangkok 2024: I like the very spacious open design of a Garden of Eden with a view of Phloen Chit Road and the Skytrain. There is pretty much everything from reasonably cheap international beers like Stella Artois to mid-priced craft beers and good wines and prosecco to, of course, expensive champagnes that you can enjoy at the very large champagne bar.
During my vacation in Bangkok, I found Mulligans to be an excellent spot by local standards. The food and drinks, including Guinness, were impressive. Smoking is allowed at the bar, a contrast from back home in New York. While enjoying the lively scene, it's wise to stay responsible as the area can be a bit sketchy at times.

The venue is perfect for watching any sports, and I found myself returning multiple times during my stay in Bangkok.
My Top 5 Sports Bars in Bangkok's Lower Sukhumvit Area: It is a relatively large bar with space for plenty of people, even when there are special sporting events. The prices are average but the food is above average. The staff is friendly. I really like the outdoor terrace. You can also watch sports on many screens there.
