Hua Hin Area: Khao Takiab

Sea Pines Golf Driving Range

Reviews

This range is run by the military and separate from the main Sea Pines course but conveniently located right at its entrance. The small number of bays means it fills up fast, especially on weekdays, but for 40 baht a tray, it’s an affordable spot to warm up before hitting the main course.

Honestly, the grass area is almost nonexistent, and hitting off mats isn’t ideal if you’re after a realistic feel. But the place has its charm with some decent targets and a laid-back vibe. With a bit of investment, it could be one of Hua Hin’s best spots.

We showed up early to avoid the heat and crowds, and the caddies really made a difference with their solid English and helpful tips on how to approach the course. The greens were dry but still playable, making for a nice morning round before things got busy.

The driving range is pretty straightforward and easy to get to, with parking right outside and hotels close by. Forty baht gets you a tray of balls, which is a decent deal even if the quality isn’t top-notch. It’s nothing fancy but does the job for a quick practice session.
