Rommani Nart Park
Serenity and History Combined
I recently visited Rommani Nart Park, which is a unique spot that used to be an old prison. It features two remaining watch towers and a block of cells. Though most of the jail structures have been demolished, the park still offers a glimpse into its past. The park is compact with pretty fountains, a small pond, and a free public gym, although the equipment is quite old and rusty. There's also a small kiosk at the entrance selling water and snacks. Worth a visit if you're nearby and interested in historical transformations.

Romaneenart Park
Cozy Green Space with Historical Charm in Old Town Bangkok
This park is a nice, small, and cozy retreat in the bustling city. There's a skateboarding area and several morning and evening activities like yoga, aerobics, and tai chi. It's well-kept and has a lot of local food options nearby, though you might have to wander a bit to find them. Despite the traffic noise and occasional aircraft overhead, it's a beautiful space where fitness enthusiasts, couples, children, and families can relax and enjoy. Just a heads up, the fountains weren't working when I visited, but it didn't take away from the overall charm of the place.

Suan Phlu Park
I enjoyed the well-kept park, though the concrete areas were a bit too much. It was hot even in the shade, but still a nice spot for gatherings. Remember, no biking allowed, but great for walks and workouts.

MRTA Health Park
Peaceful Jogging and Wildlife Encounters at MRTA Health Park
Feeding the turtles and fish in the evening is an absolute delight! Bring some bread or buy it for 35 baht, and you’ll have them eating right from your hand. You might even spot some monitor lizards if you're lucky. It’s one of the best free activities in Huai Khwang and a lovely way to unwind.

Pathum Wananurak Park
This newly developed park is a hidden gem in a busy central area, offering a quiet refuge from the crowds. While there isn't much shade, making midday visits less ideal, it's a lovely spot for a leisurely stroll or a calming jog.

Prem Pracha Vana Rak Park
The park has recently opened and, despite the trees still being small, it offers a pleasant atmosphere. In a year or two, it will likely be even more enjoyable as the greenery matures. It's a nice spot for a leisurely visit, with well-labeled trees and a compact yet well-designed layout.

King Rama IX Memorial Park
I had the opportunity to visit Chalermprakiat Park in the Dusit District. It's a significant location, especially on October 13th, when King Rama X visits to honor King Rama IX. The serene and peaceful atmosphere was palpable, and I strongly recommend experiencing this heartfelt tribute at least once.
