Bad Poutine
Hearty Poutine with Bold Toppings
Chilling on those camping chairs in the alley felt pretty local, watching people go by while digging into the pastrami poutine. The chips were seriously hot and crispy, and the peppery gravy gave it a nice kick. Cheese curds melted perfectly over everything, making each bite gooey and satisfying. It’s not fancy dining but that street vibe suits the food well. Just a heads up—there’s no bathroom there, so plan ahead. Still, for 250THB, I thought it was a solid spot to rest and refuel after wandering Song Wat.

Krusty Songwat
I stumbled upon this small spot while wandering Songwat Road and ended up staying way longer than planned. The upstairs seating area is surprisingly quiet and cool, a nice break from the noisy street below. Tried their fried ice cream with chocolate chips and matcha sauce—really good combo, smooth and not too sweet. The staff were friendly and didn’t rush me, which made picking flavors easier since I’m terrible at choosing. Definitely coming back when I need a little chill-out moment in the city.

SCR - Song Wat Coffee Roasters
Sun 09:00-18:00
Intimate Roastery with Distinctive Brews
I had a few questions about the menu, and though the staff seemed a bit rushed, the service was decent. The piccolo latte was milder than expected but the pastry, especially the pain suisse, was a standout with its crispy and chocolatey flavors. A pleasant visit overall, but the coffee could be stronger.
Preeda's favorite spots around town: The Dirty Coffee is incredibly refreshing, perfect for Bangkok’s heat, with cozy vibes and tasty pastries like pain suisse.
