Reviews Wat Prayurawongsawas Worawihan

Wat Prayurawongsawas Worawihan is a beautiful temple where you can explore the stupa and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. I visited on a rainy day and appreciated the sarong provided to cover up. There weren't many people around, making it a quiet and reflective experience.

The highlight of Wat Prayurawongsawas Worawihan is its white stupa from the early Rattanakosin period, which looks regal after renovation. The stupa's gleaming exterior at night and the preserved original brick wall inside create a sacred effect. The entrance features a small museum displaying artifacts found during the renovation and some donated Buddha statues.

Wat Prayurawongsawas Worawihan is an enchanting and tranquil temple in Bangkok, featuring a stupa, pond, and lush trees. The kind monks and peaceful grounds make it a hidden gem. The temple, completed in 1855, has a fascinating history, including the restoration of its stupa after it was destroyed by a thunderbolt. The on-site museum showcases amazing relics unearthed during the renovation.

The temple grounds of Wat Prayurawongsawas Worawihan are beautiful and well-maintained, offering a serene and welcoming atmosphere. One of the highlights is feeding the turtles with bananas and papaya, a unique and delightful experience. Climbing the narrow staircase to the top of the temple provides an interesting perspective of the surroundings. Access is free, but leaving a donation to support the temple is encouraged.
