Though it's a bit of a journey from Bangkok's main temple areas, the trek is rewarding. Winding through residential alleys, you eventually find yourself across from the Buddha on the other side of a canal.

What a fantastic place to admire the majestic Buddha statue without spending a dime. It’s part of a cafe's rooftop, though the cafe was closed when I visited.
