Reviews Salad Smith

BK Magazine
Vegans, veggies, and the gluten-free have a new spot off Chong Nonsi.

Stepping into Salad Smith feels like entering a sanctuary for health-conscious individuals. The vibrant and fresh greens, paired with an array of colorful toppings, create a visual and culinary masterpiece. Their commitment to locally sourced, high-quality ingredients ensures that each bite is crisp and bursting with flavor. The ‘Create Your Own Salad’ station is a highlight, offering an interactive experience with knowledgeable staff suggesting delightful combinations. The in-house dressings are unique and perfectly balanced, enhancing the salads without overpowering them. This isn't just about eating healthy; it’s about savoring every bite and enjoying the joy of fresh, wholesome food.

Salad Smith offers an excellent Greek salad and a tasty broccoli soup with blue cheese, though a touch more fresh black pepper would enhance the soup further. The atmosphere resembles a diner and is part of a beer garden collective that includes a pasta place, a burger joint, and a Japanese sake bar. It's a hidden gem with cute cats roaming around, making it a charming spot. While not cheap, the prices are reasonable for the quality provided.

In a quaint craft beer garden near Chong Nonsi station lies Salad Smith, where a variety of salads priced around 300 baht are available. Despite the initial impression of high prices, the generous portions and fresh vegetables justify the cost. It's a great spot for a vegetable boost, with friendly staff and a selection of both Thai and Japanese craft beers.
