Traditional Thai Tasting Counter
This is the sort of place that treats Thai cooking like careful craft rather than comfort food on autopilot. The tasting counter leans into old recipe books, bold flavours, and very fresh ingredients, with unusual pairings such as beer and sato instead of the usual wine-only routine. Diners also end up talking about insects, sago worms, and a few dishes that nudge old memories into something newer.

There’s a nice sense of old Thai recipes being brought back to life here, and the food carries that history well. I also appreciated having pairing options beyond wine, since that made it easier to enjoy as a beer drinker. The best Tom Kha I’ve had, and the coconut worms were crisp and fluffy in a very memorable way.
Leandro Roberts (2026)We did the tasting menu with beer and sato pairings, and that was a great call. The staff were lovely and guided us through a bunch of interesting dishes, including sago worms, larb with bone marrow, and pumpkin crab curry. It was all seriously good, which is annoyingly rare.
Benjawan Rungrueang (2026)Every dish landed for me. The flavors were bold without losing balance, the ingredients tasted extremely fresh, and the Michelin star feels fully earned. I’d happily go back.
Decha (2026)My favorite Thai meal just outside Bangkok, in Nonthaburi, and honestly it’s worth the short trip. The care in each dish is obvious, and the whole place feels right whether you’re there with family, a date, or friends. I also loved the little post-meal walk around the grounds with the chicken coop, bee farm, garden, and the more unusual bits they grow on site.
