Had a craving for some authentic Isan food and Kampang mostly delivered. The grilled chicken was definitely the highlight—juicy and nicely marinated, though I had to wrestle a bit with meat sticking to the bone. Tried the papaya salad too, which packed a punch but wasn’t overwhelming. The Jaew Hon noodles came with a strong spicy kick even though I asked for less heat, so heads up if you’re sensitive. Service was okay but not exactly speedy; there was quite a gap between some of our dishes arriving. The place felt pretty cramped during dinner rush, so maybe avoid peak hours if you want a quieter meal. Prices leaned towards the higher side, but portion sizes were reasonable. All in all, tasty food with some quirks—would come back mainly for that grilled chicken and som tum combo.

Visited Kampang on a weekday evening around 5pm, and while there were some tables available, it's clear this place is popular, so reservations are recommended. Prices are on the higher side, and the staff seemed a bit slow in responding to customers.

The flavors are strong and bold, so if you prefer less sweetness, it's best to mention it when ordering. The service here is consistently excellent, making it a reliable spot for som tam lovers. It's become one of my go-to places for its fantastic food and service.
