The Deck by Arun Residence · Reviews
Caught a table at sunset on the third floor and wow, that view of Wat Arun glowing as the sky changed colors was something else. We brought a bottle of wine (700 THB corkage fee) and toasted while soaking it all in—felt like the perfect Bangkok moment. Food-wise, the menu is a solid mix of Thai classics and some international picks; the portions were generous and flavors pretty good, though maybe not mind-blowing if you’re used to local spots. The grilled white tiger prawn on vermicelli pasta I had was tasty and filling. Staff were friendly, especially Meena who helped with our seating and made the evening smooth. Heads up: once it gets crowded it gets noisy—not great for quiet conversations—but hey, this is prime tourist turf. If you want to soak in the vibe, I’d recommend going early for drinks then moving somewhere quieter later on. Overall, worth it for that unbeatable riverside view alone.
Jose Edwards (2026)The view of Wat Arun from The Deck by Arun Residence is truly stunning. The cashew chicken dish was delicious and had the perfect mix of chicken and vegetables. The cherry temple drink was a highlight, and the staff were accommodating in allowing photos from the upper deck.
Sumali (2025)The ambiance at The Deck by Arun Residence is charming with its local decor and fusion of Western and Thai cuisine. While the direct sun can be a bit too much at times, the panoramic view of the river and temple more than makes up for it. The tiger prawns salad was described as very yummy, making it a must-try dish.
Hudson B. (2025)A wonderful rusty little resort hidden away at the end of a quiet alley. You get an amazing view of the majestic temple, Wat Arun which is directly across the river from you.
