Here Hai
Crab Fried Rice
Monday closed
Crab Fried Rice Specialty Spot
Having visited Here Hai multiple times, I can confidently say it's one of my favorite places for seafood in Bangkok. The crab omelette is a must-try, and the seafood is always fresh. The crispy spring and shrimp rolls are delightful, and the lobster is juicy and perfectly cooked. Although the place is often crowded, the quality of the food makes up for it. If you’re patient and don’t mind waiting, you’ll be rewarded with a memorable dining experience.

Sanguan Sri
Old School Thai Restaurant
09:00-15:00
Generous Authentic Thai Flavors
I loved how generous they are with the portions, especially the chicken green curry—rich, aromatic, and packed with tender meat; plus the iced tea kept coming, which was a nice touch on a hot day.

Krua Aroy-Aroy
Southern Thai Curries, Massaman Curry
Delicious Curry Spot with Unique Flavors
Stopped by early on a weekday and found the place nearly full already, which was a good sign. Tried the Massaman pork curry first—tender meat with a rich, slightly sweet broth that hit all the right notes. Followed it up with the Khao Soi chicken, which had a nice light curry flavor and soft noodles. Both dishes came with rice and were really satisfying for what I paid, about 180 baht including water. The staff were welcoming and smiled often, making the experience even better. Plus, sitting opposite that ornate Indian temple added a bit of charm to the whole meal. Definitely planning to return and sample more from their menu.

Hia Buay Ancient Noodles offers a delightful taste of traditional Thai street food. The Tom Yum noodles are the star here, with a sweet and sour soup that's quite enjoyable. However, the soup could be a bit hotter. Service is quick and friendly, but parking can be a hassle, so plan accordingly.

Kuay Teow Khae
Street Noodle Soup
Affordable and Flavorful Noodles in Bangkok
If you’re after a proper Bangkok street food vibe, this spot nails it. I went for the Tom Yum dry noodles with crispy pork and wantons, picked the flat egg noodles, and it was spot on—tangy and spicy without going overboard. The pork was delightfully crispy and the wontons plump and tasty. They ask about spice level, but honestly, the flavor really shines when you go spicy. Don’t skip pouring in some of the broth they give you—it adds a lovely depth. Seating’s limited and it gets hot around midday, so showing up early is a good call. For under 80 baht, it’s a solid meal that hits all the right notes without fuss.

Khao Soi Chiang Mai
Khao Soi
Hidden Gem for Authentic Khao Soi
Had the Khao Soi here and loved how fresh and spicy it was—definitely not your typical creamy curry, which was a nice change. Just wish the meat portion was a bit bigger, but still totally worth dropping by this local spot.

07:00-15:00
Affordable Local Delights at Ruam Sab Market
This medium-sized weekday market offers a great selection of food with two large dining areas, making it a favorite despite the heat. Prices are very reasonable compared to other markets, and while some shops stay open until 5 pm, it's best to visit in the morning or around lunchtime for the freshest options.

Choy
Roast Duck with Egg Noodles
Delicious Roast Duck and Crispy Pork
I absolutely loved the roast duck at this restaurant! The shrimp ball was also a standout dish with its flavorful taste. The prices were affordable, and the staff was very nice and attentive. The only downside was that the fried platter was a bit oily, but overall, I highly recommend trying their roasted duck if you visit Bangkok.

Quite possibly one of the best Tom Yums I've had. It's rich, creamy, with the right kind of spice. Not to mention the loads of seafood that comes with it.
